I'm pregnant with my first child.

My mom always told me my father's father had bright blue eyes and dark hair.

My mother has brown eyes.

My father has hazel eyes.

All the other grandchildren have had children...None of them have gotten the 'blue eye gene' .

Supposdly it skips a generation.

My husband's eyes are also brown but on his mother's side theres a history of blue eyes and blonde hair as well.

My eyes are brown too :)

Who knows! I know the blue eyed gene is recessive, and to boot, even after the baby is born you will still have to wait a few months to know for sure, since most babies have blue eyes for a while. Best wishes!

You never know. We always thought our daughter would be brown eyed. Everyone on my Mothers side is Mexican and they all are brown-eyed with dark hair.My husbands eyes are hazel. My Dad has blue eyes, but I still didn't think it was possible because brown eyed genes are more dominant then blue. So we were all so surprised when Mailee was born with beautiful blue eyes!
