Hello, I've got (dyed) reddishy darky brown hair that is 4 inches past my shoulder (ish). I've got pale skin and electric blue eyes, and my hair is layered. I've got a side but fullish fringey thing. (Ok I'm not the best at description) and i want to run a streak through the front of it as I feel like a change.

First colour that popped into mind was a bright purple. But now I don't know, what colour would you suggest?

And also would i have to bleach it myself first using manic panic because my hair is too dark?

Will it be VIBRANT or dull?

I think it would be best to bleach it first, if you want it to be vibrant. You just gotta be sure to get all the bleached part when you dye it. I think purple would be fine, if your hair's already reddish. I'd go for a darker purple though.

I've been rocking the dark hair/blond streak for over a year and a half and I have to say, it's difficult to maintain!! You'll probably need to bleach first, but my suggestion is to NOT (let me say that again) NOT bleach it too much!! Take it up to a yellow-blond... this will make it light enough to really pop, but leave enough pigment in the hair to really adhere to the new color you put in! If you over-bleach, the hair will be too porous to keep the color, and it will fade almost immediately!

As for brand--try Wella or Chi... best colors and they last longer! Good luck!
