How should i do my hair for my winter formal? =)?

my dress is a strapless form-fitting mid-thigh length dress..its a royal blue color. my hairs pretty thick but its shiny too, and it will hold a curl okay and straightens/crimps pretty well.

any ideas?! thanksss. =)
