also because my mom won't let me get acual hair dye because it causes cancer and gets your hair fryed. And i really want to dye my hair blue and any other colors each week. and with bleaching your hair, it will soon become crusty and it will feel nasty ( my sister tried before). please help me.

OK... I went to Cosmetology school and yes there are alot of chemicals in hair dye, but something so little as that isn't going to give you cancer anymore than eating processed food will. But I definitely am not for you going against your mother. Just be patient and wait till your 18. Then you make your own decisions.

you can buy all kinds of crazy colors that wash out after 5-7 days at sally beauty supply... good luck! Dont use kool aid- if you hair is dark you wont be able to see it and it will stain your hands, face,and whatever else you get it on

with how many things cause cancer nowadays I wouldn't be worried about regular dye (especially if you use anti-bacterial soap, watch TV, or use a cell phone.) Also i have had my hair bleached before and it felt fine as long as you wash it normally.

Kool-Aid doesn't really work. My friends and I have tried it before, and if you have dark hair, it won't show up. It also doesn't last very long (only a day or two), and it stains your hands, too.

Rather than dying all of your hair, you could ask your mom if you're allowed to get highlights. You have to get them re-done every few months, but they look really good.

fun colors like blue will not show up on dark hair if you're doing a single process, regardless of if it is kool aid, or some other semi-permenent hair dye. the only way for these colors to show up is if you bleach your hair. or, you could get a kit of N rage hair dye from sally beauty supply, but it has to say that it lightens and deposits in one step. i've never tried these, so i don' know how well they would work, but i think that this kit would be more suited for streaking or chunking than covering your entire head. i realize that your mom doesn't want you to use actual dye, but you could try to convince your mom that hair dye does not cause cancer, because it really doesn't.

use bleach with the lowest volume. It takes longer (a lot longer)

But supposedly it doesnt do as much damage as a 40 volume would do.

Bleaching your hair will destroy your hair.

The easiest way is the wash out color. It last for a while.

Don't be afraid of hair color causing cancer,that is the first time i have ever heard that!!!! and i work at a beauty salon and have been doing hair for a long time,the only thing i recommend is bleaching your hair...so what you can do for your hair not to get so damaged is get 4oz. shampoo and 4 oz.30 volume cream developer and a pack of powderd bleach that you can get at a beauty supply store.you get that mix them in all together the shampoo,developer and bleach,you start at the tips going to the roots last,you just need to keep an eye to see how light you need to go,then you just add the color you want example,red,blue...i have done this many times on girls your age at the salon...without a little bleach your hair color will stay the same no effect but some reddish hues...
